Precision BTEX Detection for Smarter Site Decisions

AISCT® AURORA is a high-precision AI tool developed by TRIUM Environmental, specialized in detecting BTEX (C6–C8) compounds in soil and water. Unlike other AISCT models, AURORA doesn’t replace field tools — it optimizes them. It leverages PID technology, to provide optimized sample conditions and vapor response By standardizing temperature, moisture, and sample preparation, AURORA creates the perfect operating environment for instruments like the PID to perform at their highest potential. This methodology eliminates the error prone implementation of standard field screening practices, providing actionable results in under 10 minutes for multiple samples.

"Identify target contaminants with over 95% prediction accuracy, streamlining fieldwork, and supporting defensible environmental decisions."

How Does AISCT® Work?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) comprises various technologies such as machine learning, neural networks, and natural language processing. These technologies empower machines to learn from data and execute tasks that would traditionally demand human intelligence.

1. Preperation

Soil samples are collected from the site, whether through drilling, excavation, or surface sampling.

2. Extraction

Samples are prepped and extracted utilizing proprietery extraction products designed to optimize sample recovery & stability.

3. Analysis

Samples are fed into the system where advanced AI algorithms rapidly analyze the data, comparing it with both historical and present-day information.

4. Output

Within 20 minutesm the system delivers precise and reproducible results, providing results that guide informed decision for characterization or remediation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What industries does TRIUM Environmental Inc. serve?

TRIUM Environmental serves a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate development, energy, transportation, and more. Our customized solutions address the specific environmental challenges faced by businesses and organizations in these sectors.

When is the data/ results available?

Data is available on-site every 20 minutes, with up to approximately 15 samples per hour. Final reports are provided as requested and typically, daily.

How does AISCT work?

AISCT is a sensor system coupled with a learning database.  It is reliant on data accumulated from analytical measurements to compare against the field scanning method(s).  Every time a data point is added, the system gets smarter.

What does AISCT test for or measure?

Currently available units measure petroleum hydrocarbons and chloride.  Petroleum hydrocarbons are measured in rangesC6 to C32, and reports in mg/kg as per jurisdictional requirements (ie.F1/F2/F3, VPH/ LEPH/ HEPH).

Chloride is measured as either mg/kg or mg/L (soil or water results).
